What began as a brief medical mission in 2008 quickly grew into a lasting movement of hope. While serving patients at Mulago Hospital and visiting remote villages on a Yale University scholarship, Dr. Charles R. Holt D.O. encountered a overwhelming reality: communities burdened by deep hardship, yet rich in resilience. Moved to action, Dr. Holt united a passionate team of local believers to address both the immediate and long-term needs of the Ugandan people.
Officialized as a registered NGO in Uganda in 2009 and a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2010, Caring Hands Foundation continues to bridge gaps and uplift communities across five core pillars: spiritual guidance, physical health, economic opportunity, educational access, and emotional support.
