“To reveal the life changing power of Jesus Christ through our words and actions“
Caring Hands Foundation was born out of a dream in 2008 by a small group of Christians living in Uganda who became associated with Dr. Charles R. Holt D.O while he was visiting Uganda on a medical scholarship from Yale University. While in Uganda, he treated patients within Mulago Hospital complex, and spent time meeting needs of local individuals in remote villages throughout the country. The reality of the overall hopelessness Dr. Charles was confronted with during his short six week stay drove him to gather a small group of likeminded individuals together to form the Caring Hands Foundation organization. Caring Hands came into existence in 2009 when it was registered as an official NGO with the Ugandan government. In 2010 we applied for, and were granted, 501 © 3 non-profit status with the US Federal Government. Our vision is to provide as much relief to the Ugandan people as possible, whether the need is spiritual, physical, economic, educational, or emotional.
